Introducing Arizona’s first tuition-free K-5 school to provide a laptop for every child
At Scales Technology Academy in Tempe, our enthusiastic, experienced teachers will make learning truly come to life for your child by integrating technology throughout the curriculum. Unlike any other elementary school in Arizona, we provide every student, kindergarten through fifth-grade, with a laptop computer for schoolwork at no cost to parents. We promise you an elementary experience that is fun, engaging, and relevant to your child’s world.

Enrollment for Fall 2010 is now under way
From June 1 to July 8, our campus will be closed. To enroll, please visit the Tempe Elementary School District Office at 3205 South Rural Road in Tempe [northeast corner of Rural and Southern]. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday - Thursday (closed 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
After July 19, parents may enroll by visiting our campus between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
No enrollments will be taken July 12 - 16.
Spaces are available in all grades!
What you need to bring when you enroll:
- Child's certified birth certificate
- Immunization records
- Two verifications of home address (i.e., rental agreement, utility bill, etc.)
- Completed enrollment packet - Download an enrollment packet by completing the form to the right
Eligibility
Any child living in Arizona is eligible to attend Scales Technology Academy, provided that there is space available. There is no entrance exam. The requirements are the same as for any of the public schools in the Tempe Elementary School District.
Space is always available for students residing within the Scales Technology Academy attendance boundary.

Register at Scales Technology Academy, no matter where you live!
Students living outside the Scales Technology Academy attendance area are welcome to enroll in our school. Open enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis, and students will be assigned in order on the waiting list.
Parents of these students will need to complete an Open Enrollment application in addition to the regular enrollment packet. Please fill in your information in the form above to download both documents.
Registration will be open until each class is filled.
