the efforts of elementary and middle school principals as they
provide programs to increase student achievement, deliver exceptional
customer service, and explore creative opportunities for teaching
and learning. The department includes 19 elementary schools,
one K-8 traditional school, four middle schools, the Intervention
Learning Program, as well as the Indian Education Program.

Curriculum,
Instruction & Assessment encompasses all of the educational
services areas such as: Gifted
Services (PACE and Honors), all Curricular and Instructional
programs including Music, Physical Education and Visual Arts
Programs

well as Professional Development, Early Childhood and Assessment

and After School Childcare. Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment
focuses on educating
children by providing them the skills and knowledge they will
need for success in high school.

conduct analyses and report results of state and district assessments.
Review, verify, and assist with interpretation and use of state
and federal accountability designations. Collaborate with school
and district staff on school improvement efforts. Provide research

April 7-8 - TerraNova (state norm-referemced test, grade 2)
April 7-11 - AIMS DPA (state standards test, grades 3-8)
April 14-17 - AIMS DPA make-ups
*April 16 - May 16 - NWEA MAP (district reading and math tests, grades 2-8)
* May 2-16 - DIBELS (district early literacy tests, grades K-3)
* Each class of students is tested on a scheduled date during this test window.

The Early Childhood Block Grant helps provide full-day

for Getz peers or private
preschool
placements.
