The Tempe Elementary School District’s Nutrition Services Department strives to be “leaders in providing quality, nutritious meals through an innovative and collaborative approach with the school community to support optimal health and student achievement. Throughout the years, the Nutrition Services Department has collaborated with the Arizona Department of Education’s Farm to School and Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Programs, partnered with local community gardens, and developed an association with school garden professionals to form the School Garden Network.

The Garden to Cafeteria (GTC) Program is an opportunity for students to grow fresh fruits and vegetables in their school gardens, with the aim of supplying some of their harvest to the school cafeteria to be used during the lunch service. Please click on one of the following links below to learn more about the Garden to Cafeteria Program.
