TEMPE IMPACTS EDUCATION (TIE) FOUNDATION

SPRING 2017 SCHOLARSHIPS

Tempe Impacts Education (TIE) Foundation recently established a new TIE Scholarship. This year’s candidates must be pursuing a certification/endorsement in Special Education. They also must be at least a 3 year employee. The scholarship may be applied to cover tuition, books, or other fees. These expenses are for any university or college courses. The scholarship has been increased to $1,000 and may be paid in two increments in different years to avoid taxes. The applicant may also take it all at one time. The applicant must include evidence of the class with a grade of a C or better and tuition receipt for reimbursement.

Congratulations to Amandah "Mandy" Owens, SPARK instructional assistant at Aguilar Elementary, who won the Spring Tempe Impacts Education (TIE) Foundation Special Education Scholarship! The TIE Foundation has committed to helping teachers in the District achieve a endorsement or certificate in Special Education. The Foundation will be again awarding scholarships in the fall for those working toward Special Education goals. Deadlines and the application process here will be available here.
