Welcome to Wood Elementary School! We are honored that you are taking the time to visit our website.
Wood School is committed to providing the highest quality of education to our community of learners. All grade levels, kindergarten through fifth, receive instruction in the Arizona College and Career Ready Standards (AZCCRS). Additionally, English Language Learning students receive instruction in the English Language Proficiency Standards. Instruction is differentiated and individualized in order to maximize student achievement to the greatest possible degree. Technology education is interwoven throughout the learning process for all students.
The progress of individual student learning is continuously measured through the use of varying assessments, data collection, and data analysis. This process is designed to increase the learning strengths of our students and minimize any possible areas of concern.
In addition to providing high quality, differentiated instruction during the school day, Wood students have the opportunity to participate in afterschool learning clubs or activities. Teachers use student data to implement a variety of learning experiences that are engaging, integrative, and standards-based.
Wood School is committed to providing a nurturing, caring, and safe learning environment where all students are welcomed. Our teachers are highly qualified and participate in ongoing professional development to stay current in content knowledge and instructional strategies that engage students in meaningful learning. Feel free to stop by for a school tour or schedule an appointment with the front office to visit your child’s classroom. You will experience the fine educational opportunities that Wood School provides.
Wood School Vision: We commit to be problem solvers, motivated to reach beyond our maximum potential by growing academically, emotionally, and socially in a diverse and safe instructional environment.
Wood School Mission: Leaders of the PACK…Positively Acquiring Continuous Knowledge
