Post Date:11/30/2017 2:30 PM

PatrickPetersonDonationGirl_400x244Arizona Cardinals Defensive Back Patrick Peterson believes that every family deserves a Thanksgiving meal! That is why Peterson teamed up with the United Food Bank of Arizona to provide 221 Tempe Elementary families with a full Thanksgiving meal to enjoy with their loved ones.

The “Patrick Peterson Thanksgiving Giveaway” event took place at Fees College Preparatory Middle School and was Peterson’s latest effort to give back to our local community. Peterson also funds a shopping spree every year before Christmas and has placed multiple “Patrick’s Corner” libraries in schools over the past couple of years to promote education for our Tempe Elementary students.

PatrickPetersonDonation_400x244His teammates Chandler Jones and Frostee Rucker, Team Mascot “Big Red”, and Arizona Cardinals cheerleaders also participated, handing out turkeys, fresh vegetables, eggs, and all the Thanksgiving fixings to families in need. Every family who attended the event also received a $50 gift certificate to Walmart.

For those who could not attend the event, Fees College Prep staff hand delivered the Thanksgiving meals the very next day to each family.

Thank you to the Arizona Cardinals, United Food Bank of Arizona, Fees College Prep staff, and employees of the Tempe Elementary School District who made a difference in the lives of our families this holiday season!
