Thanks to the generosity of our community partner Arizona Mills Mall and members of the Tempe community, students at Tempe Elementary School District will have plenty of extra supplies and backpacks to go around!

This summer, Arizona Mills hosted their second annual Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive. Arizona Mills shoppers were encouraged to donate school supplies and backpacks at various locations around the mall throughout the months of June and July.

The mall also organized special events to promote the drive, such as a free kids movie ticket to see The Secret Life of Pets 2 for every child who donated school supplies. Plans for next year’s movie and back-to-school donation event is already in the works.

This donation included about 25 new backpacks for children of all ages.

Our Tempe community went the extra mile with some families visiting multiple times to donate backpacks and school supplies to kids in need.

“We strive to be Tempe Elementary students’ advocates and support system,” said Arizona Mills Marketing Director Munira Smith. “We want our Tempe families to know that they can count on us when it comes to getting ready for back-to-school.”

Thank you Arizona Mills and our Tempe community for your continued support and generous donation to Tempe Elementary schools!
