Athletics

Tempe Elementary Schools offer a variety of engaging, developmental, and competitive athletic opportunities for all students ranging from fourth to eighth grade.

Through strong community partnership with the City of Tempe Parks and Recreation Athletic Department and district funding, we are proud to welcome students to participate in athletics at no cost.

Reasons to Believe:

• No cost to participate for all Tempe Elementary Schools students
• Students compete against teams from across Arizona and the Southwest 
• Mentorship program supports all student athletes 
• Development teams and clinics for students of all athletic ability levels, from club level players to those who have never played a sport before. 
• Focused on students' success in and out of the classroom (Students are required to obtain a minimum passing grade of C or higher in all classes to be athletically eligible.)

In addition, to streamline athletic programming there are events throughout the school year such as fun runs and field days to promote the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle. These events are open to all students from preschool through eighth grade.
