Performing Arts
At Tempe Elementary, we believe that arts provide an avenue for students to discover, explore, and refine their talents. The opportunities invite students to step into the spotlight and express themselves in new and interesting ways.
Performing Arts highlights include:
- General Music is offered for all students from kindergarten through 4th grade
- 5th graders take ownership of their arts education, choosing between Band, Orchestra or Choir as an elective
- In partnership with Ballet Arizona, students at Scales Technology Academy are invited to a unique dance experience at Scales Technology Academy (Coming to Frank Elementary in 2025).
- In middle school, students may choose to take one of many performing arts electives offered including Mariachi, Dance, Choir, Theater, and more!
- Connolly Middle School and Fees College Prep encourage expression through movement in their Dance program.
- Rover Elementary, McKemy Academy, and Connolly Middle School students step on the stage and into the spotlight during their annual musical productions.
- Middle school orchestra, band, and choir students attend district-wide workshops each year where they receive instruction from guest adjudicators from the Tempe community.
