PACE

Students in the PACE program have to test in the 94th percentile in one or more areas on a state board approved test for gifted identification such as the CoGAT.

Compared to students in the ASPIRE program who must score a 97% or higher in at least one area on a state board approved test for gifted identification OR 94% or higher in at least one area on a state board approved test for gifted identification with an 85th percentile or higher in at least one additional area.

No. If your student is staying within Tempe Elementary Schools, they will not need to be retested. 

Not necessarily. Tempe Elementary Schools will help to determine placement of potential gifted students based on giftedness results submitted with your enrollment paperwork. Please share a copy of your students' gifted results with the school office, if applicable. 

If your student is interested in attending one of our gifted academies, you may need to retest. 

If your student is moving outside of the district, the receiving school district would be able to help determine eligibility of programming options within their district.

PACE does not give homework, instead focused on collaboration and the incorporation of project based learning models.

PACE focuses on EXCEL Skills: Evaluation, Communication, Creativity, Executive Functioning, and Logic.

Students are evaluated by their pull-out teacher twice per year. A progress report will be sent home with the students’ report cards.
