Governing Board
The Tempe Elementary School District Governing Board’s purpose is to provide direction and oversight of the leadership who manage the day-to-day operations of the district. The Board reviews and votes on policies while ensuring resources are used appropriately and that high standards are set for academic success.
Accountable to the community, the board serves without compensation and is composed of five members elected for four-year terms by the Tempe community.
Governing Board Meetings
Regular Governing Board meetings are scheduled at 7 p.m. on most first and third Wednesdays of the month year-round. Unless noted below, meetings are held at the Sanchez Administration Center, located at 3205 S. Rural Road, Tempe.
Agendas are posted on BoardDocs and outside the Sanchez Administration Center at least 24 hours prior to a Board meeting, except in the case of an emergency or recessed meeting.
Location of Public Meeting Notices
All Public Notices of Governing Board and other District meetings open to the public are posted in the glass cases at the front and back of the Sanchez Administration Building at 3205 South Rural Road in Tempe.
