Middle School Elective Unlocks New Level

Students compete in Esports tournament

Esports is one of the fastest growing industries, and in our middle school classrooms, it's unlocking future career opportunities.

For middle schoolers at Connolly, Mosley, Shamley, and Ward, the Esports elective allows them to explore tech-driven career paths like game design and development, shoutcasting, broadcast production, event organizing, and digital marketing.

Students also put their learning into action through tournaments, including recent matchups of Super Smash Bros. (Ward vs. Shamley) and Rocket League (Connolly vs. Mosley).

This opportunity reflects Tempe Elementary’s commitment to strengthen specialized programs and/or school options, as outlined in Goal 3.3 of the Strategic Plan.
