Seven Tempe Elementary Schools Receive 'A' Rating for 2024-2025

A-School Graphic

Congratulations to our seven schools who received an 'A' rating for the 2024-2025 school year by the Arizona Department of Education!

A number of factors go into school letter grades including school readiness and advanced learning opportunities, academic growth, and improved attendance.

In addition to 'A' ratings, here are some other district accomplishments that deserve celebrating:

  • 5 schools earned all 50 available student growth points (Aguilar, Frank, Meyer, Rover, Wood)
  • 5 schools excelled in English learner progress (Arredondo, Broadmor, Carminati, Thew, Ward)
  • 8 schools demonstrated school readiness and advanced learning opportunities (Arredondo, Connolly, McKemy, Nevitt, Shamley, Spracale, Thew, Wood)
  • 7 schools decreased chronic absenteeism (Arredondo, Carminati, Connolly, Curry, Rover, Scales, Thew)

We are so proud of the hard work and dedication that these schools put forth every day to earn this distinction and continue to grow to best serve students.

These recognitions represent Tempe Elementary Schools' commitment to maximize individual student growth and achievement, focusing on strengths and needs, as outlined in Goal 2 of the Strategic Plan.
