Visitors & Volunteers

1. Complete the Parent Volunteer application.* A new application must be submitted every school year and BEFORE you acquire fingerprinting. Volunteer applications are required to be notarized. Forms can also be notarized at time of fingerprint appointment.

2. Obtain fingerprint clearance (if needed). Parents wishing to volunteer should be fingerprinted at least 6-8 weeks prior to volunteering. (See additional information in the Fingerprinting Section)

2. Obtain fingerprint clearance. Community members wishing to volunteer should be fingerprinted at least 6-8 weeks prior to volunteering. (See additional information in the Fingerprinting Section)

Please Note: Community volunteers wishing to work in any of our preschools must follow the same requirements as all volunteers but will need a TB scan test. A copy of the volunteer application must also be filed at the preschool site for licensing purposes.

• Fingerprinting is scheduled by appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8:30-10 a.m.
   
• This appointment can only be scheduled AFTER we have received the completed and notarized volunteer application. This form can also be notarized at time of fingerprint appointment.
   
• Once the completed application is received, you will receive an email to schedule an appointment for fingerprinting. This service is provided at no cost to you.
   
• Identification will need to be provided when fingerprinted. 

Volunteering cannot begin before fingerprint clearance is received. It can take upwards of three (3) months or more for the Arizona Department of Public Safety to process and clear some applications. We ask that you be fingerprinted at least 6 weeks in advance of your volunteer service. Please plan accordingly.

After fingerprint information is received by the district from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, we will notify you of your volunteer status via email.  

Additional fingerprinting is not be required if you already have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued through the Arizona Department of Public Safety. In this case, you will be required to provide a copy of the valid fingerprint clearance card when submitting your volunteer application.
